BGS is located in The Netherlands and their main focus is to sell software licenses to partner/reseller channels and end-users. Mimer SQL for Android 8.1 Oreo available
Mimer is now releasing a complete reference design of the Mimer SQL database server for Android 8.1 Oreo. This includes the full feature, high performance Mimer SQL database server combined with full compatibility support for all kind of Android applications, including those downloaded from Google Play. Out of the box Mimer SQL handles the built in content providers for Calendar, Contacts, E-mail, Media and Telephony.
Mimer SQL for Android is a zero-maintenance database server with a high and predictable performance that makes it possible to avoid the common performance deteriorations experienced when using the SQLite database that is included in the Android platform. The non-locking concurrency control in Mimer SQL that fully utilizes the modern multi-core hardware architectures improves the performance and scalability even further.
Mimer SQL for Android brings a lot of added value for Android devices:
- Mimer SQL for Android is “plug and play” with no integration work and with no extra lead time related to new Google releases. ECS 2017
At ECS 2017, Embedded Conference Scandinavia in Kista, Sweden, Europe’s biggest embedded conference, Bengt Gunne held a very popular lecture. It was about Mimer’s unique ability to function in a real-time environment. Here it can provide the database’s features and possibilities for data aggregation without impeding on the time requirement of a real-time application.
Mimer SQL for Python
MimerPy is a database adapter for the popular programming language Python, commonly used for research in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. MimerPy implements the PEP 249 specification and allows a Python programmer access to the powerful tools and advantages of the Mimer SQL database management system.
MimerPy is installed in the same way as all Python extensions by running the command ”pip3 install mimerpy” from the operating system command line. Please note that this requires the Mimer SQL database management system be installed on the target system. (A full version of Mimer SQL for ten users can be downloaded free of charge from https://developer.mimer.com.)
